Diversity & inclusion

Inclusive, diverse and belonging culture

We are committed to building an inclusive BINGO Family where our team of GOgetters feel safe to be themselves and supported to achieve their best. As a business we know that we only reap the benefits of a diverse workforce when employees feel comfortable to be themselves at work, express their unique perspectives and contribute ideas. We believe the diversity of our customers, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate should be reflected in our diverse team.

Key Results

We engage a broad pool of talent from our local communities, which means our BINGO Family is made up of a diverse range of GOgetters, rich in backgrounds, cultures, languages, socioeconomic status and experiences.

Our Initiatives & Goals

Our ambition is for our people to be inspired to perform at their best and with a sense of pride, to feel valued for their contributions and experience genuine care.
Implementing our diversity and inclusion framework
An important part of realising this ambition is investing in our teams’ development and learning, so they have the skills and know-how that all employees need to not only do their jobs but outperform in their roles.
Continuing to support flexible work arrangements
Increasing our part-time and casual workforce. We offer study leave, study days and study support to team members where the course is relevant to their roles and the
business.
Launching our second Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

Our diverse workforce

We value and leverage diversity in our workforce. We have over 30 First Nations GOgetters and a large portion of our team are of African, Middle Eastern and South Pacific Island decent. And we’re proud to provide career opportunities for people who have sought refuge in Australia, are unskilled or come from non-English speaking backgrounds.

At BINGO we have a long-term target of 25% of our workforce to be female by 2025.

Promoting gender diversity

Inclusion and diversity are part of our BINGO DNA. We’re committed to generating opportunities for women in our great waste industry. BINGO’s gender diversity targets aim for women to account for more than 30% of senior leadership. Initiatives that support this focus include succession planning, career development, and mentoring and recruitment activities. We will also continue to evaluate our promotion, pay and performance results to identify any gender pay equality issues.
