Working with First Nations Australians

In the spirit of reconciliation, BINGO acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and acknowledge and respect their connections to land, sea and community. We pay respect to Elders both past and present and stand together with First Nations leaders of today and tomorrow.

Our approach

As an Australian-run recycling business with a vision for a more sustainable and equitable future, we recognise the importance of acknowledging and working to address the wrongs of the past. We are committed to reconciliation – to building strong relationships that support First Nations communities in their goals of self-determination and recognition. We know reconciliation is a journey and we are committed to improving our business to ensure we are a culturally safe place for First Nations people, businesses and communities.

We are also committed to supporting greater economic participation for First Nations communities. We do this through supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island-owned businesses and organisations, and by generating employment, development and mentorship opportunities within our operations for First Nations team members.

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

Our vision for reconciliation is to operate a business that is inclusive and respectful of the cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and communities, and that contributes to the celebration of their histories and customs. Download our reconciliation action plan below.
