Stephen Schmidhofer
Stephen is a lawyer with over 15 years’ practice and leadership experience, with a broad corporate and commercial legal practice, as well as a governance and risk practice having worked in large private practice law firms and large national sporting organisations.
Prior to his appointment to the Executive Leadership Team, Stephen has lead BINGO’s legal, governance and company secretarial function since 2019. In addition to leading the multi-faceted legal and risk matters, Stephen has played a pivotal role in the execution of BINGO’s geographic and vertical integration expansion strategies including overseeing the acquisition of Dial a Dump in NSW and United Waste Services in Queensland. Stephen has also played an integral role in BINGO’s delisting and acquisition by Macquarie Asser Management (MAM).
Prior to Stephen’s appointment to BINGO he held senior legal leadership roles at national law firms and at Racing Victoria and Australian Rugby Union as the Head of Integrity and Regulatory.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Law as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
