Achieving environmental excellence
Managing our environmentally impactful activities is a key focus for our business and essential for maintaining our social license to operate. We work to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment and human health with regard to a range of issues such as surface water, ground water, contaminated land, noise, dust and air quality. We comply with all environmental and planning legislation and maintain our ISO certified management systems. We also seek to reduce our use of natural resources and are working to address climate change through our climate change action plan.
A catalyst for change
BINGO is committed to minimising harmful impacts on the environment and the communities in which we operate, and where our operations degrade value, we seek to balance this through value enhancement, specifically improving recovery rates, reducing our carbon footprint and improving our environmental compliance and performance.
To this end, governance of our environmental management program is overseen by our Board’s Zero Harm sub-committee and all BINGO sites manage our environmental responsibilities through our ISO accredited Environment Management System.
